Verification badges help the community know that the person or organization behind an account is authentic. On GSocial, we’ve made verification simple and transparent. Here’s what you need to know to qualify.

What verification means on GSocial

A verification badge is a visual indicator that your account is authentic and meets our community standards. It’s available for both individuals and organizations, and it helps prevent impersonation, parody accounts, and other forms of identity confusion.

How to request a badge

All badges can be requested through the “Request Verification” section in your account settings. Simply open Settings → Request Verification, and follow the prompts to submit your application.

Verified Badge (General Requirements)

To qualify for a verified badge, your account must meet the following criteria:

  • Profile image: Your account must have a clear profile picture.
  • Bio: You must have a complete bio that accurately describes who you are or what your organization does.
  • No impersonation: Your account must not impersonate another person or entity.
  • No parody accounts: Parody or satirical accounts are not eligible for verification.
“Verification isn’t about popularity - it’s about authenticity.”

Verified Person

The Verified Person badge is reserved for real people who maintain personal accounts. To qualify, your account must represent a real individual and meet the same base requirements as the general verified badge:

  • Personal account: The account must be tied to a real person.
  • Authenticity: Your profile must not represent a fictional character, fan account, or parody.
  • Same requirements: You must have a profile image, bio, and no impersonation or parody activity.

Verified Organization

The Verified Organization badge is designed for public-interest organizations, businesses, or brands. The requirements include:

  • Public interest: Your organization must serve the public or be notable within your field.
  • Website required: You must have an official website linked in your profile.
  • No registration required: You don’t need to be a legally registered company to qualify.
  • Unique identity: Your account does not need to look or sound exactly like other popular brands, but it must be authentic and not misleading.

Final Notes

Verification on GSocial is meant to protect the community from impersonation and misinformation. If you meet the requirements, you can request verification at any time through your settings.
