Control your content: Understanding the GSocial Feed

We believe you should decide what you see, not a hidden algorithm. Here is a breakdown of how we sort and deliver posts to your Relevant Feed.
Your Tags, Your Privacy
If you look next to the Relevant Feed header, you’ll see a tag icon. This is where you pick your favorite topics.
What makes GSocial different is that your favorite tags are saved only on your device. We don't store your interests on our servers to build a marketing profile of you. Your preferences stay with you.
How Posts are Pulled
When you load your feed, our server looks for two main things:
- Subscriptions: Posts from the users you follow.
- Interests: Posts that match the favorite tags you've selected.
"By combining your subscriptions with your chosen tags, we ensure your feed is actually relevant to you without needing to track your every move."
Sorting the Best Stuff
Once the relevant posts are gathered, we sort them using a simple, transparent set of metrics. We don't use "black box" AI to guess what you want; we look at the facts:
The feed is ordered based on a balance of Likes, the number of Comments, and the Age of the post. This ensures that you see what's trending and active, but also keeps the content fresh so you aren't seeing the same thing for three days straight.
The Final Word
Our goal is to give you a feed that feels alive and interesting, while keeping the control and the data entirely in your hands.
